I was born in Jakarta to an Indonesian-Batak mother and an American father. When I was three years old, my family moved to a small coastal town north of Boston, where I grew up between two cultures and developed an early love for soccer (football!), film, and storytelling.

As I prepared for college, I convinced myself that creativity belonged in childhood and pursued a more practical path instead. I worked in sales within professional sports before transitioning into film and television production, living in places like Scottsdale, New York, and Los Angeles.

I eventually moved to Bali, in search of reconnection, belonging, and purpose. Despite the adventure and outward success, I found myself chasing a fulfillment I thought could be solved through reaching a destination.

In a surprising turn of events, I returned to the New England coastal town I once swore I’d leave forever. One day when I was cleaning my childhood bedroom, I’d rediscovered a box full of short stories, plays, scripts, and unfinished ideas I had written over the years. Stories I’d forgotten, words unearthed. I began writing again almost compulsively. Eventually these pages became the foundation for my first novel, Milk Teeth.

I now write fiction focused on family, ambition, grief, cultural identity, and the emotional fault lines that shape relationships. I am currently developing two novels.
